I am currently working in the Azores Deep-Sea Research team, focusing on the video analysis and annotation of fish and litter from the videos obtained during the sea cruises where we explore different underwater seamounts of all the Azores with the Drift-cam. I arrived in Faial in August 2022 thanks to the Eurodissey internship program, which gave me the opportunity to work in the deep sea for the first time. Previously I studied Environmental Biology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and worked at CREAF (Ecological and Forestry Applications Research Centre, Spain), as a soil-ecotoxicology technician. I have also worked in fire prevention campaigns during the summers and as a teacher in a Forestry school, as well as a collaborator of the Zoology department of the UAB, in the sampling practices in specific beaches of the sea coast of Catalonia.
