I got a bachelor degree in Biological Sciences and a master degree in Marine Biology at the University of Pisa, Italy. I always loved studying animal migrations, in fact both my bachelor and master thesis focused on the migration and the movement ecology of the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta). My PhD in the Azores is still focused on this species of sea turtle and here I finally have the chance to join data analysis and field work. The aim of my project is to develop a habitat model for the loggerhead sea turtle in the North Atlantic and to understand how human activities are affecting these animals.
