PhD in Marine Sciences - Marine Ecology, by the University of the Azores, I have 21 years of professional experience, mostly on cetacean bioacoustics and behavioural ecology. I have a wide experience in fieldwork with cetaceans, including telemetry with animal-borne tags, behavioural data collection, photo-identification and biopsy sampling. I also have an extensive experience on photo-identification, bioacoustics, behavioural and tissue sampling data processing and analysis. I have and continue supervising/co-supervising several Master students on cetacean bioacoustics and behavioural ecology studies.
