I am a French researcher in fisheries sciences and marine ecology working in the Azores since 2016. My research activity focuses on studying pressures and impacts on deep-water species and ecosystems, applying the ecosystem approach to fisheries management, and addressing, among others, questions related to fishing selectivity, discard, and bycatch, with some focus on the bycatch of vulnerable species, in particular elasmobranch species. As part of my research, I perform fishing experiments, data collection using diverse sampling methods, and data analyses from fisheries-dependent and independent sources. Within my research activity, I seek a wide knowledge dissemination to various audiences, including fishers, managers, NGOs, the international scientific community, and the general public.
