After completing a degree in Aquatic Environmental Sciences at Uni.Porto in 2008, I have been working with marine organisms in the Azores since 2010, with more than 10 years of experience in deep-sea organisms in the Azores, especially corals. I have participated and collaborated in numerous sea trips and oceanographic campaigns to obtain data, images, and mainly specimens from the deep sea of the Azores, such as campaigns of the ARQDAÇO, CONDOR, CORALCHANGE, MIDAS, MERCES, ATLAS, iATLANTIC and MapGes2 projects, also contributing to the increase of the collection of specimens of the reference collection of specimens at the Horta campus of the University of the Azores. Since 2017, I've been working as a Senior Technician (fixed-term) for various projects, mainly coordinating and maintaining the DeepSeaLab - an aquaria laboratory for deep-sea organisms from the Azores, at the MRC OKEANOS & IMAR at the University of the Azores.
