Wendell Medeiros Leal da Silva completes PhD with Distinction and Commendation

Wendell Melquias Medeiros Leal da Silva has successfully completed his PhD in Marine Sciences at the University of the Azores.

His thesis, entitled “Comprehensive stock assessment of small scale fishery to provide management advice in the Azores”, contributes to advancing our understanding of small-scale fisheries resources in the Azores, providing scientific information to support the sustainable management of fisheries in the region.

Following the presentation and discussion of his thesis before the examination panel, Wendell was awarded Distinction and Commendation, the highest academic distinction, successfully completing his doctoral journey.

Congratulations to Dr. Wendell on this outstanding achievement and to everyone involved in this journey! We wish him every success in his future scientific and professional endeavours!
