OKEANOS ⌇ “The Region Gains a Unique Scientific Platform with the Azores Ocean”

The first scientific mission of the Azores Ocean has come to an end. Over five days, the mission tested equipment and the capabilities of the new research vessel in the Faial–Pico Channel and south of the two islands.

Led by Gui Menezes, Director of OKEANOS, the inaugural mission exceeded expectations, demonstrating the potential of this new platform to advance marine research in the Azores.
