Inês Gomes, a researcher at OKEANOS – Institute of Marine Sciences, participated in the international workshop “Cumulative Effects of Multiple Human Pressures at Sea and Their Impacts on Ecosystem Components: A Practical Application for Environmental Status Assessment”, held from 2 to 4 June 2026 at the facilities of AZTI.

The workshop aimed to provide both theoretical and practical training in the use of tools designed to assess the cumulative effects of multiple human pressures on marine ecosystems. The event brought together researchers, consultants, and environmental managers from different fields.

OKEANOS’ participation in this training initiative reinforces its commitment to the development and application of scientific tools that support the sustainable management of marine ecosystems and the implementation of conservation policies grounded in high-quality scientific knowledge.

PT A investigadora Inês Gomes, do OKEANOS – Instituto de Investigação em Ciências do Mar, participou, entre os dias 2 e 4 de junho de 2026, no workshop internacional “Cumulative effects of multiple human pressures at sea and their impacts on ecosystem components: a practical application for environmental status assessment”, realizado nas instalações da AZTI.
Esta iniciativa teve como principal objetivo proporcionar formação teórica e prática na utilização de ferramentas destinadas à avaliação dos efeitos cumulativos de múltiplas pressões humanas nos ecossistemas marinhos. O workshop reuniu investigadores, consultadores e gestores. A participação do OKEANOS nesta formação reforça o seu compromisso com o desenvolvimento e aplicação de ferramentas científicas de apoio à gestão sustentável dos ecossistemas marinhos e à implementação de políticas de conservação baseadas em conhecimento científico de excelência.
